After a 5-10 season in 2025, the Ada High School boys soccer team is looking to bounce back in 2026 behind an experienced senior class and an influx of talented freshmen. Head coach Larry Morgan expects the Cougars to make a strong push for the playoffs this season.
Why it matters
Ada High School has been a consistent playoff contender in recent years, making the playoffs in 2023 and 2024 after a down year in 2025. The Cougars' return to form this season could signal a return to their status as one of the top programs in Class 4A.
The details
The Cougars will be led by versatile senior Steven Stout and experienced goalkeeper Ben Rhynes, who is entering his fourth season as the starter. Sophomore Edwin Vasquez, who scored 15 goals as a freshman, is expected to build on his breakout campaign. The Cougars also welcome a talented group of freshmen, including standout kicker David Stout, who will contribute in the midfield.
- The Cougars open their home schedule on Thursday, March 5, 2026 against Atoka.
- Ada will compete in District 4A-1 against Ardmore, Bethany, Cache, Chickasha, Community Christian, Harrah and Madill.
