Kids Hair in Care Program Aims to Empower Foster Youth

The Maumee Bay Club of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Club, Inc. is hosting a Kids Hair in Care Program on April 18 at Toledo Early College. The event is designed to educate foster care parents on caring for different hair textures, provide mental health education, and promote positive self-esteem and self-expression for foster youth.

The details

The Kids Hair in Care Program will feature hair care professionals, activities for youth, mental health experts, foster care parent and youth panels, community vendors, and free hair care kits. The goal is to equip foster families with the knowledge and tools to properly care for diverse hair textures while also addressing the mental health needs of foster youth.
