A 39-year-old nail salon owner in Portsmouth, Ohio, Brandy Cottrell, was arrested on Monday in a major drug investigation that resulted in the seizure of over 200 grams of suspected narcotics. Cottrell, who had a prior drug-related arrest in 2011 but had largely stayed out of trouble since then, was charged with first-degree felony drug trafficking and second-degree felony drug possession.

According to authorities, the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force executed search warrants at both Cottrell's home and her business, Nails by Brandy, on Monday morning. During the searches, they reportedly seized approximately 218 grams of suspected fentanyl and/or crack cocaine, as well as digital scales and other evidence consistent with drug trafficking. Cottrell was arrested and charged with first-degree felony drug trafficking and second-degree felony drug possession. She is currently being held in the Scioto County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
