McDonald's is recognizing the remarkable women who lead its restaurants and strengthen the communities they serve, including Stacy Scott, who serves as vice president of marketing, recruiting and community initiatives for the Scott Family McDonald's organization. Under the ownership of her husband Benny Scott, the organization has grown to 25 restaurants across Ohio and Kentucky.
Why it matters
Women hold essential roles at every level of the McDonald's system, and leaders like Stacy Scott demonstrate the impact women make every day across the organization, helping shape careers, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for generations to come.
The details
When the Scotts moved back to Piqua to step into the family business, the organization operated seven restaurants. Scott noted that at that time, they both had a lot to learn. What guided Stacy from the beginning was her belief in people and her desire to create an environment where opportunity was real and everyone felt valued. As the organization grew, so did Scott's role. She began planning leadership outings, events, and meetings that brought teams together and inspired them. Over time, her responsibilities expanded into leading recruiting efforts, driving marketing initiatives, and overseeing community engagement.
- The Scotts recently were honored with the Fred Turner Golden Arch Award, given to the top 1 percent of McDonald's operators worldwide.
