High school wrestling teams in the Miami Valley region are gearing up for the upcoming district tournaments, with Alter and Graham leading the way with 13 qualifiers each. Several local schools produced multiple sectional champions, setting the stage for competitive district meets in Divisions II and III.

The details
Alter will have 13 competitors at the Division II meet at Wilmington, while Graham will send the same number to the D-III tournament in Troy. Both teams also produced six sectional champions. In Division I, Lebanon (11) and Springboro (10) lead the area with the most wrestlers qualifying for the district tournament in Kettering. Springboro, the Greater Western Ohio Conference champions, had five sectional champions, all juniors.
