In a span of just one week, two Perrysburg High School basketball players, Tyson Bower and Ethan DeVries, both juniors on the Yellow Jackets team, made incredible halfcourt shots to beat the quarter-buzzer in separate games against Anthony Wayne and Clay. The rare feat left their teammates, coaches, and families in awe.

On February 6, Tyson Bower hit a halfcourt shot at the end of the second quarter against Anthony Wayne, marking the first time he had made such a shot in a game. A week later, Ethan DeVries repeated the feat, sinking a halfcourt shot at the end of the first quarter against Clay. Both players were surprised when the shots went in, but said the team practices halfcourt shots before every game as part of their pre-game routine.
