Lakewood Public Library Offers Variety of Children's and Youth Programs

From baby story times to coding clubs, the library has activities for all ages

The Lakewood Public Library is hosting a wide range of children's and youth programs at both its Main Library and Madison Branch locations. These include lap-sit story times for babies, preschool story times, pajama parties, family weekend events, and a coding club for kids to learn programming skills.

The library's Just Baby 'N Me program offers lap-sit story times for babies from birth to 24 months, with sessions held several times a week at the Main Library and Madison Branch. The Preschool Story Time program features 30 minutes of stories, movement, and songs for 2 to 5-year-olds, also held multiple times per week. Pajama Parties invite 2 to 6-year-olds to wind down for the night with books, movement, and songs. Family Weekend Wonders events feature a different theme each week followed by a craft project. The library is also hosting Kirigami Art workshops to teach the Japanese paper-folding art form, as well as a Coding Club where kids can learn to create mobile apps, design websites, and program robots.
