Tigers post strong air rifle performance but fall short of conference title

The University of Memphis rifle team placed sixth at the Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) Championships in West Point, New York. The Tigers finished with an aggregate score of 4708, led by strong individual performances in air rifle. No. 4 West Virginia won the conference title with a score of 4740.

The details
Memphis posted a 2375 in air rifle, the fourth-best total of the championships, led by Emmet Bodrogi's 596. Katrina Demerle (594), Megan Jaros (589), Gabriela Zych (591), and Kenlee Ewton (594) also contributed strong air rifle scores. In smallbore, Jaros led the Tigers with a 589, followed by Bodrogi (586), Demerle and Zych (585 each).
