Rhinegeist, CAC Partner on THC Seltzer Tasting Event

Cincinnati brewery and art museum host guided tasting and art tour before Ohio's hemp-derived THC ban takes effect.

Published on Feb. 27, 2026

Rhinegeist Brewery is partnering with the Contemporary Arts Center (CAC) in Cincinnati to host 'The (High) Art of Seltzers,' a guided tasting and museum tour about the craft, science, and cultural conversation surrounding THC seltzers. The event will take place on March 12, just days before Ohio bans hemp-derived THC products.

Why it matters

This event provides a unique opportunity for the public to learn about the evolving landscape of hemp-derived beverages, including the legal definition of Delta-9 THC, the role of nanoemulsion technology, and the influence of minor cannabinoids. It also connects contemporary art with everyday experiences, inviting guests to consider how their perceptions shift when they tune into their senses more intentionally.

The details

The event will be led by Nick Brehm, director of Innovation and Raw Materials, and Tracey Ireland, vice president of Marketing at Rhinegeist. Participants will sample three flavors of Fuzzy Bones, an alcohol-free sparkling beverage crafted with hemp-derived Delta-9 THC and real fruit juice, and receive one 12 oz. 5mg can to take home. Following the tasting, guests will join CAC Adjunct Curator, Maria Seda-Reeder, for a guided exploration of the galleries.

  • The event will take place on March 12, 2026 at 5:30 p.m.
  • Ohio's ban on hemp-derived THC products is set to take effect shortly after the event.
