Miami East FFA Teams Compete in State CDEs

Several members of the Miami East-MVCTC FFA Chapter recently competed in the Ohio FFA State Spring Career Development Events.

Members of the Miami East-MVCTC FFA Chapter competed in various state and invitational Career Development Events (CDEs) over the past few months, including General Livestock, Equine Management, Poultry, and Dairy Cattle competitions. The teams placed in the top 50 out of hundreds of competitors at the state level, with several individuals earning top individual placements as well.

The Miami East-MVCTC FFA Chapter sent teams to compete in several state and invitational CDEs over the past few months. In the General Livestock competition at the state level, the team placed 40th out of 196 teams, with Kyle Wright placing 74th out of 965 individuals. The Equine Management team placed 34th out of 106 teams, with Alexa Deaton placing 148th out of 306 individuals. The Poultry team placed 47th out of 76 teams, with Kaci Manns placing 8th out of 304 and qualifying for the finals. The chapter also had strong showings at invitational events like the Patriot Invitational and the Miami Trace Invitational.

  • The Ohio FFA State Spring Career Development Events took place at the Ohio Expo Center/State Fairgrounds in Columbus.
  • Prior invitational competitions were held at the Patriot Invitational hosted by Tri-Village FFA Alumni and the Marysville/Champaign County Invitational in Marysville.
  • The Miami Trace Invitational was held on March 14.
