Athens County Sheriff to Boost Traffic Enforcement in March

The Athens County Sheriff's Office has announced plans to conduct high-visibility traffic enforcement throughout the month of March in partnership with state and local agencies. Deputies will increase patrols on city streets, county roads, and highways in an effort to deter traffic violations that pose safety risks to the community.

The Athens County Sheriff's Office will be working with the Ohio Department of Public Safety, the Ohio Traffic Safety Office, and surrounding jurisdictions to carry out the increased traffic enforcement from March 1 through March 31. Deputies will be on the lookout for speeding, reckless driving, impaired driving, and other dangerous violations that endanger other motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists.
