Adirondack Thunder Sign Forward Michael Herrera

The Adirondack Thunder of the ECHL have signed forward Michael Herrera to a contract ahead of their three-game series against the Atlanta Gladiators. Herrera, a 23-year-old native of Syracuse, New York, has spent the past two seasons playing in the SPHL and ECHL, most recently with the Macon Mayhem where he recorded 16 points in 24 games.

The details

Herrera has nine goals and nine assists for 18 points in 37 games across three different SPHL teams this season. His best production came with the Macon Mayhem, where he had eight goals and eight assists in 24 games. Last season, Herrera made his ECHL debut with the Pensacola Ice Flyers, recording six goals and nine assists in 30 games.

Herrera signed with the Adirondack Thunder on February 13, 2026, ahead of their three-game series against the Atlanta Gladiators.
