The Schenectady Fire Department responded to a house fire on the 1600 block of Albany Street on Wednesday morning. Firefighters arrived to find heavy flames coming from the back of the unoccupied building's first floor, and were able to bring the fire under control just after 5 a.m. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
