The passenger, an 18-year-old male, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor. Both were issued appearance tickets to Oneonta Town Court on April 7, 2026.

• On February 19, 2026, at approximately 1:30 p.m., troopers, police, and firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle blocking the roadway on Chestnut Street near Daddy Al's.
• The vehicle had been moved into a parking lot by the time the trooper arrived, and both occupants were awake but displayed characteristics associated with impairment.
