Ocrolus, an AI workflow and analytics platform for lenders, has announced the general availability of its AI-powered automated conditioning capabilities, launching on April 1. The new features allow mortgage lenders to manage all underwriting conditions within a single, unified workspace, automatically generating conditions and matching them to relevant borrower documents to help underwriters focus on credit decisions rather than chasing paperwork.
Why it matters
Conditioning has historically been one of the most labor-intensive and error-prone steps in mortgage origination. Ocrolus' new capabilities aim to address this challenge by bringing end-to-end intelligence to the mortgage origination process, from document classification and analysis to condition generation and resolution, helping lenders improve efficiency, consistency, and the overall borrower experience.
The details
Ocrolus' conditioning engine is designed to be deterministic and grounded in selling guide requirements and borrower data, automatically generating conditions and matching them to relevant documents. This eliminates the need for underwriters to manually write conditions and track down supporting documents. Lenders can simultaneously analyze borrower asset, income and credit data alongside AUS findings to automatically generate selling-guide-aligned conditions, reducing compliance risk and investor pushback.
