A 31-year-old Glendale man has been sentenced to 17 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to attacking a 9-year-old girl and biting off the fingertip of an off-duty NYPD police sergeant who tried to intervene in the attack in May 2025, according to Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz.
