New York designer Maria McManus and Agolde CEO Amy Williams have collaborated on a 16-piece sustainable denim capsule collection. The capsule features a range of denim pieces, from everyday wide-leg jeans to high-waisted shorts, as well as additional items like oversized cotton and denim shirting, a long circle skirt, and a denim field jacket. The collection is made from regenerative cotton and dyed with Eco-Indigo, Agolde's low-impact dye.

Why it matters

The collaboration between McManus and Agolde showcases how fashion brands can come together to create sustainable products that align with their shared values. By leveraging each other's expertise and resources, the brands were able to produce a collection that prioritizes intentional design and environmental consciousness, which is increasingly important for consumers.

The details

The capsule collection first debuted in McManus's Spring 2026 runway show, with many of the silhouettes coming from the designer's existing pattern roster but modernized with new fabrications from Agolde. The brands were intentional about reworking existing patterns rather than starting from scratch to reduce waste. The collection is made from regenerative cotton and dyed with Eco-Indigo, Agolde's low-impact dye that was named one of Time's Best Inventions in 2025.

What they’re saying

“It's a very concise capsule. There's nothing superfluous; just a great jacket, a great coat, great jeans, a great skirt.”

— Maria McManus, Designer

“What's so lovely about the pieces is that there's obviously a focus on sustainability, but also on softness. A lot of the fabrics are woven with Tencel, so you have the most incredible hand feel.”
