Neutrogena has launched its new Evenly Clear line, the brand's first-ever acne product collection created specifically for adults. Developed in collaboration with dermatologists, the six-product lineup aims to treat adult acne while also addressing common skin concerns like post-acne marks, dryness, and sensitivity that are more prevalent in mature skin.
Why it matters
Adult acne is much more common than many realize, affecting over 25% of women and 12% of men in their 40s. However, there has been less focus on skincare created especially for this demographic until now. Neutrogena's new Evenly Clear line aims to fill this gap by providing effective yet gentle formulas that can address the unique needs of adult acne-prone skin.
The details
The Evenly Clear collection features a range of products including a cleanser, moisturizer, retinoid treatment, and clarifying spray. The formulas utilize ingredients like salicylic acid, polyhydroxy acids, N-acetyl glucosamine, and benzoyl peroxide to target breakouts, while also including barrier-supporting ingredients to prevent irritation. The line is designed to not only treat acne but also visibly fade the look of post-acne marks like scars and hyperpigmentation.
- Neutrogena launched the Evenly Clear line in February 2026.

What they’re saying
“Treating adult acne is fundamentally different from treating teen acne because the skin itself is different. In teenagers, acne is primarily fueled by puberty-related oil production. In adults, especially women, breakouts are often more hormonally driven and tied to menstrual cycles and stress. Adult acne also tends to appear along the jawline and chin and is more likely to present as deeper, cystic, inflammatory lesions.”

“Adult patients often want results without irritation, and products that fit seamlessly into busy, real-life routines. Our goal with Neutrogena Evenly Clear was to translate what we see in our practices every day into advanced formulas that are effective, gentle and designed to meet those real-life needs.”
— Dhaval Bhanusali, MD, Neutrogena Global Innovation Partner and Dermatologist (newbeauty.com)
What’s next
Neutrogena plans to continue expanding the Evenly Clear line with additional products in the future to further address the unique needs of adult acne-prone skin.
The takeaway
Neutrogena's new Evenly Clear line represents a significant step forward in providing effective yet gentle acne treatment options specifically tailored for adults, who often face different skin concerns compared to teenagers. This launch highlights the growing recognition of adult acne as a common issue that deserves more targeted solutions.
