Gregorie was riding a 2012 Ski Doo snowmobile on a marked private trail when he lost control and struck a log pile, ejecting him from the vehicle. The 16-year-old friend following behind Gregorie on a 2015 Arctic Cat also lost control and struck the same log pile, with his machine coming to rest on top of Gregorie. Emergency responders were called to the scene and Gregorie was transported to the Wyoming County Community Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. An autopsy is scheduled by the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office.
