Manhattan Skyline Management Corp. has finalized a new long-term retail lease with tea and pastry concept Teapulse for an 840-square-foot storefront at the base of the Claridge's luxury rental building in Midtown Manhattan's Plaza District. The new shop will be Teapulse's eighth location across Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.

Why it matters

The Claridge's retail space offers high visibility and foot traffic along Sixth Avenue, a major thoroughfare connecting office workers, residents, and visitors in the Plaza District. This lease continues Teapulse's expansion across New York City neighborhoods and reinforces the role of smaller food and beverage tenants in mixed-use developments.

The details

The new Teapulse shop is scheduled to open next month and will have 12 feet of frontage along Sixth Avenue between West 55th and West 56th streets. The space is configured for ground-floor retail, allowing Teapulse to directly serve passersby and building residents. Manhattan Skyline's senior vice president of retail, Joshua Roth, noted that Teapulse will provide a convenient refreshment option for Claridge's residents and nearby workers.
