In the first game, CMU jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning, highlighted by a two-run home run from Grace Koenig. The Chippewas then added two more homers in the third from Jenna Kuzara and Alexa Carter to make it 5-0. Buffalo battled back to take a 7-6 lead, but CMU exploded for 10 runs in the sixth inning to win 16-7. Mackenzie Langan started the game for CMU, with Aubrey Strelow earning the win in relief. In the second game, CMU again scored first, taking a 5-0 lead through the first two innings. But Buffalo rallied with a two-run homer in the second and then tied the game at 8-8 with a grand slam in the fifth. The Bulls then scored two more in the sixth to win 10-8. Brooklyn Comapu started for the Chippewas, with Cierra Laska taking the loss in relief.
