The Buffalo Bills will begin their offseason workout program this week, marking the first time the team will take the field under new head coach Joe Brady. The initial phase will focus on meetings, strength and conditioning, and physical rehabilitation, before transitioning to on-field drills and walk-throughs in the coming weeks.
Why it matters
The start of the offseason program is an important milestone for the Bills as they look to build on last season's success under a new coaching staff led by the 33-year-old Brady, who was hired in January to replace Sean McDermott. These early workouts will set the foundation for the team's preparations ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft and the upcoming season.
The details
The Bills' offseason program will unfold in several phases over the next few months. This week and next, the team's activities will be limited to meetings, strength and conditioning, and physical rehabilitation only. In the following three weeks, the Bills can hold on-field workouts with player or group instruction and drills, as well as plays conducted at a walk-through pace, but no live contact or team offense vs. team defense drills. Then during the Organized Team Activities (OTAs) in May and June, the team can schedule up to 10 days of sessions, including 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills, but still without live contact.
- The Bills' offseason workout program begins on April 7.
- The team will hold a voluntary minicamp from April 20-22.
- OTAs are scheduled for May 18-19, May 21, May 26-28, and June 1-4.
- Mandatory minicamp will take place from June 9-11.
