Alex Hunter shares his three favorite player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Thursday's nine-game NBA slate. The three bets are on Quentin Grimes of the Philadelphia 76ers, Donte Green of the Phoenix Suns, and Jaden Flagg of the Dallas Mavericks.
Why it matters
With key players out for several teams, these player prop bets provide opportunities to capitalize on increased playing time and usage for certain players across the NBA slate.
The details
For Grimes, with Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and Paul George out, Grimes is guaranteed 30+ minutes and is a good bet to go over his 5.5 rebound prop at +116 odds. For Green, with Dillon Brooks out, Green is leading the Suns with a 33.5% usage rate and should stay hot against the Pacers. For Flagg, with Klay Thompson likely out, the rookie could struggle to reach his 22.5-point prop against the depleted Grizzlies.
- The NBA slate is on Thursday, March 12, 2026.
The players
Quentin Grimes
A player for the Philadelphia 76ers who has been starting and playing a big role with several key teammates out.
Donte Green
A player for the Phoenix Suns who has been excellent recently with Dillon Brooks sidelined.
Jaden Flagg
A rookie player for the Dallas Mavericks who could struggle to reach his high scoring prop with the Grizzlies depleted.
What they’re saying
“With the 76ers understaffed, Grimes has been starting and playing a big role. In his last four, Grimes is logging 33.6 minutes per game and he has grabbed at least five rebounds in three of these four contests.”
— Alex Hunter, Author (draftkings.com)
“Green is healthy again after nursing a hamstring injury for most of the season and he has been excellent recently. In his last three, Green is averaging 24.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 31.1 minutes per game, and he has posted at least 30 PRA in all of these tilts.”
— Alex Hunter, Author (draftkings.com)
“Flagg gets the benefit of playing the depleted Grizzlies tonight, who could be down to only eight healthy players. Klay Thompson (doubtful, rest) is also expected to be out for the Mavericks.”
— Alex Hunter, Author (draftkings.com)
The takeaway
With key players out across the NBA, these player prop bets provide opportunities to capitalize on increased playing time and usage for certain players. However, caution is warranted for the Flagg prop, as the rookie may still be shaking off rust from his recent injury.
