The collision occurred when the driver of a Chevy Silverado pickup truck turned left in front of the oncoming motorcyclist and another vehicle, causing a chain reaction crash that redirected the vehicles and sparked a fire in the pickup.

The details
According to the Metro Police Department, the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on a 2025 Yamaha MT09 when the driver of a 2003 Chevy Silverado pickup truck, traveling westbound, began a left turn onto South Christy Lane. The Yamaha and a 2009 Infiniti GX, also traveling eastbound, struck the front of the turning pickup, redirecting all three vehicles eastward. The Chevy pickup then caught fire as a result of the collision.
