JMIR Publications Inks Unlimited Open Access Deal With University of Nevada-Las Vegas

JMIR Publications, a leading open access publisher of health and medical journals, has entered into a flat-fee, unlimited open access publishing agreement with the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. The deal will allow UNLV researchers to publish their accepted articles in any of JMIR's 30+ journals without having to pay individual article processing charges, replacing those fees with a single institutional publishing fee.

The details

Under the terms of the 1-year agreement, which covers the period from March 1, 2026 to February 28, 2027, UNLV researchers will be able to publish an unlimited number of articles in JMIR's portfolio of over 30 peer-reviewed open access journals without having to pay individual article processing charges. Instead, the university will pay a single institutional publishing fee to JMIR Publications.
