Downtown Summerlin in Las Vegas is reviving its annual Lei Day Parade on Friday, May 1st to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. The free, public event will feature performances from local cultural organizations like hula troupes, taiko drum groups, and Filipino dance clubs.

The fifth annual Lei Day Parade, presented by Minero General Contractor, will take place at 6 p.m. along Park Centre Drive in Downtown Summerlin. The festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. Local cultural organizations set to perform include Hot Lava Company, Ka Pa Hula O Ke Ola Nani, Pupu Ori Te Nati Hula, Halau Kawahine & Co., Korabo Taiko Drum Group, and The Filipino Club. Attendees can expect to see ancient hula kahiko, modern hula auana, Māori haka, and Tahitian dance.
