The Las Vegas Raiders have hired Mario Jeberaeel, a Las Vegas native and UNLV alumnus, to join their coaching staff as the new offensive run game coordinator. Jeberaeel previously worked as a defensive assistant with the Jacksonville Jaguars for the past two seasons, but has experience coaching on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.

Why it matters

The Raiders have cycled through numerous head coaches in recent years, and new head coach Klint Kubiak is looking to build a strong coaching staff to help turn the team around. Jeberaeel's local ties and diverse coaching experience make him an interesting addition to the Raiders' staff as they look to improve their running game and offensive line.

The details

Jeberaeel, who was an offensive lineman in college, has previous experience coaching on the offensive line. He will now be tasked with coordinating the Raiders' running game, which was led by Brennan Carroll last season. Kubiak, who was the offensive playcaller for the Super Bowl-winning Seattle Seahawks, sees the Raiders' job as a great challenge and is eager to build the team back up using the franchise's rich history and resources.

  • The Raiders announced Jeberaeel's hiring on February 22, 2026.
