Las Vegas, a popular wedding destination, is making it even simpler for couples to get married by opening a temporary marriage license office right in Harry Reid International Airport. The pop-up office began handling paperwork on February 4th and will do so until February 28th, allowing new arrivals to complete the necessary paperwork without having to travel to the primary marriage license bureau downtown.
Why it matters
Las Vegas is a top destination for weddings, with over 70,000 weddings taking place in Clark County last year, many of them being 'destination weddings'. The new pop-up marriage license office at the airport makes it even more convenient for couples to get married in Vegas, potentially boosting the city's wedding industry.
The details
The temporary marriage license office is located in the baggage claim area of Terminal 1 at Harry Reid International Airport. Marriage licenses cost $102 per couple, and couples looking to renew their vows can do so for $21. This is not the first time Clark County has set up a pop-up marriage license office at the airport, having done so last year as well.
