According to a source familiar with the situation, Las Vegas is on track to host another Super Bowl before the end of the decade at Allegiant Stadium. The city is expected to be awarded the 2029 Super Bowl at the NFL's league meetings scheduled for March 29-April 1.
Why it matters
Las Vegas has emerged as a premier destination for major sporting events since the arrival of the Raiders and the opening of Allegiant Stadium in 2020. Hosting the Super Bowl would further cement the city's status as a top sports and entertainment capital.
The details
The 2027 Super Bowl will be played at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, and the 2028 game will be hosted in Atlanta at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Although the NFL doesn't have an official rotating list of host cities, Las Vegas is expected to be on the short list of sites in play every five or so years, along with the Los Angeles area, Phoenix area, Tampa, and Atlanta. The Tennessee Titans are also slated to open a new $2.2 billion domed stadium in 2027, which will likely add Nashville to the host city list.

What they’re saying
“It's always awesome to see vision become reality and it's actually exceeded it. For us (Allegiant Stadium) to be ranked No. 1 in the United States in (revenue-generating) stadiums and No. 2 in the world, is quite a feat. It says a lot about Las Vegas as the sports and entertainment capital of the world. Because it's concerts and sports that are doing it.”
— Mark Davis, Owner, Las Vegas Raiders (Review-Journal)
“The fact the folks at the LVCVA and Allegiant Stadium have been able to create a sequence like that has been remarkable. I'm sure it was intentional, but somewhat lucky and fortuitous to us. Those events are not just draws when people are here, they're the things people are talking about for an entire year. That fact that you have them bookend, means you can talk about them for the entire year. You're talking about WrestleMania; you're talking about the college football championship and the Super Bowl. They keep us relevant globally the entire time.”
