The Smarter Web Company (SWC), a Bitcoin-focused treasury firm, is leaving the Aquis Exchange and beginning trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange on February 3, 2026. The company listed on Aquis Exchange in April 2025 and is now making this major move just over nine months later. CEO Andrew Webley called it a pivotal milestone for the firm and its shareholders.
Why it matters
The shift to the London Stock Exchange's Main Market will give SWC access to more capital, including from passive funds that track indexes as well as active fund managers who previously could not invest in shares listed on smaller venues like Aquis. This change expands the pool of investors who can support the business as it continues to build its Bitcoin treasury.
The details
Despite pressure on Bitcoin treasury stocks since mid-2025, SWC has kept building, with Bitcoin per share rising over 50% since July and total Bitcoin holdings almost doubling in the same period. CEO Andrew Webley said the company has navigated the market cycles by capturing value during strong phases and protecting flexibility during weak phases.

“Bitcoin per share has risen by more than 50% since July. Total Bitcoin holdings have almost doubled in the same period. These companies move in cycles. During strong phases, they must capture value. During weak phases, they must protect flexibility. This approach helped the firm stay focused while others slowed down.”
