A 31-year-old Las Vegas man was killed early Tuesday morning in a three-vehicle crash on the I-215 beltway in Clark County. Alejandro Filomeno-Montoya was standing outside his disabled Porsche Cayenne when he was struck by a speeding Honda CR-V. The driver of the Nissan Sentra that initially caused the crash was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

A white 2023 Nissan Sentra was traveling at high speed when the driver failed to slow down and struck a white 2018 Porsche Cayenne SUV from behind. This crash disabled the Nissan, and the Porsche driver exited his vehicle and walked to the passenger side of the Nissan. A 2023 Honda CR-V traveling at high speed in the number four lane then failed to avoid the disabled Nissan and struck it from behind. The Honda then rotated and struck Filomeno-Montoya, who was standing beside the Nissan. The Nissan driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, and additional charges may be filed following the ongoing investigation.
