Albuquerque's East Mountain Companion Animal Project and the City of Albuquerque's animal shelters are highlighting three adoptable pets - Mama Rose, Nike, and Buggy. Mama Rose is a 18-month-old dog who recently gave birth but was left at a vet clinic, while Nike is a sweet and playful bully/lab mix and Buggy is a calm and gentle 8-year-old Rottweiler mix. The shelters are hosting adoption events to help these pets find loving homes.

Animal rescue organizations play a crucial role in caring for and rehoming pets in need. By showcasing these adoptable animals, the Albuquerque community is made aware of the pets available and encouraged to consider opening their homes to a new furry family member.

The details

Mama Rose came to East Mountain Companion Animal Project on Christmas Eve while in active labor at just 18 months old. Though her puppies were adopted, Mama Rose was left behind. She is already house-trained, knows basic commands, walks well on a leash, and has a friendly, cuddly personality. Nike is a sweet bully/lab mix who loves to play fetch, while Buggy is an 8-year-old Rottweiler mix known for her calm, gentle demeanor and love of relaxation. The shelters are hosting adoption events to help these pets find their forever homes.
