Peyton Furst was credited with the assist on the first goal of the game by senior midfielder Annie Irish. She then cut to the goal and scored off a feed from senior attack Lilly Arps before junior attack Simone Claps scored to make it 3-0 for Chatham (5-1). Summit (3-1) got its only goal of the game in the second quarter from Sara Scallone, and the Cougars answered with goals by Furst and Arps (1 goal, 2 assists) to take a 5-1 lead into the halftime break. Senior attack Leah Tapper collected two goals and an assist for Chatham, which received single goals from Ava Hunter and Furst in the fourth quarter. Sophomore goalie Abby Alden was credited with five saves for the Cougars. Chatham's sophomore starters showed their strength in this game, with Emma Grom turning in a ground ball, three draw controls and two forced turnovers and Vivienne Stramara being credited with four forced turnovers.
