Pete Lancetta, one of the most successful high school football coaches in South Jersey history, has stepped down from his position as head coach of the St. Augustine Prep Hermits. Lancetta leaves the Hermits program as the winningest coach in school history after a nine-year tenure.

Lancetta previously spent 26 seasons as the head coach at Hammonton High School, where he compiled a 215-64-2 record and won one South Jersey Group III title, three South Jersey Group II titles, and 12 conference championships with the Blue Devils. He left Hammonton in 2014 to coach at Rowan University for two seasons before taking over the Hermits program in 2017.
