The event also featured performances by the choir from the Academy of Greatness and Excellence and the Muslim Student Association of Bogota High School. Elected officials, including Assemblywoman Haider and Commissioner Marte, delivered remarks thanking the community for hosting the event. The celebration concluded with the lighting of decorations on the front of Borough Hall.
