DePaul's Olivia Georges becomes North Jersey's first 3-time girls champ

Olivia Georges, a senior at DePaul High School, won her third state wrestling championship on March 14 with a 17-6 major decision over Liliana Alicea of Central Regional. Georges is the first Bergen or Passaic girls wrestler to win three state titles, as well as the first from DePaul. She finishes her high school career as a four-time medalist, having placed first as a freshman and junior at 145 pounds, and third as a sophomore despite a fractured radius and torn UCL.

She joins an elite group of only four other New Jersey girls wrestlers to win three state titles: Chloe Ayres of Princeton, Jess Johnson of Manalapan, Gabriella Miller of Monroe-Old Bridge, and Kira Pipkins of Bloomfield, who is the state's only four-time champion.
