Five seniors from the Summerland FFA chapter have completed the requirements to receive the Nebraska State FFA Degree, the highest honor the state association can bestow. The students - Jenna Funk, Shaylie Kester, Clair Krysl, Bennet Flenniken, and Ethan Kester - traveled to Neligh, Nebraska where they were interviewed and assessed on their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) projects before being approved for the prestigious award.

To qualify for the Nebraska State FFA Degree, members must complete a rigorous set of requirements including maintaining a supervised agricultural experience program, participating in community service activities, demonstrating leadership abilities, and earning a minimum number of FFA points. The Summerland FFA students traveled to Neligh, where they were interviewed and assessed on their SAE projects before being approved for the prestigious award.
