The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is hosting its eighth annual 'Glow Big Red' giving campaign, a 24-hour fundraising event that began on Wednesday at noon and runs through Thursday at noon. The campaign has raised over $3.8 million since it started in 2019 to commemorate the university's 150th anniversary, with donations supporting scholarships, colleges, student programming, athletics, and other initiatives.

Donors can support over 200 different areas, including the UNL Bands, the College of Arts and Sciences Cares Fund, the Nebraska College Preparatory Academy, and Counseling and Psychological Services. Alumni and other donors have also committed over $500,000 in challenges and matching gifts to encourage more giving.
