Ott was born on July 22, 1926 in Valley City, North Dakota and was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Hertha Ott, as well as her sister Shirla Cummings and brother Niell Ott. She is survived by her sister Carol Olson of Valley City, North Dakota, brother James Ott of Avery, Idaho, and several nieces and nephews.
