The Heart of America Library in Rugby, North Dakota has been selected as one of six locations across the country to display a temporary replica of the Declaration of Independence, in celebration of America's 250th birthday. The replica, provided by Crayola and the Foundation for Art and Preservation in Embassies (FAPE), is helping local fourth-grade students learn about and engage with this important historical document.

The details
The replica of the Declaration of Independence arrived last week inside a custom Crayola shipping crate. The library will have the display until July 7, giving local fourth-grade students and other visitors a chance to see and learn about the document up close. Fourth-grade teacher Kristen Heilman is incorporating the replica into her lessons, allowing students to reinforce what they've learned by seeing the actual document.
