Woldseth was surrounded by his three daughters and their spouses as he was cared for by HIA Hospice in his final days.

Woldseth later married Darlene Hart and together they farmed, raised three daughters, and were actively involved in their local community, including curling, snowmobiling, and hosting gatherings of friends and family. After developing rheumatoid arthritis at age 51, Woldseth transitioned to a career in securities and insurance, working for Aid Association for Lutherans (now Thrivent) until his retirement at age 75. He and Darlene also spent many winters in Mesa, Arizona, before her passing from Alzheimer's disease in 2015.
