Taylor averaged 18.5 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2.5 steals per game for the 24-7 Hornets, who won their first state title since 1987. He scored a career-high 29 points in the 4A state championship game against Reidsville. Taylor finished his career as the 4th all-time leading scorer in Salisbury history with 1,415 points.
