Duke baseball's Cider Canon, the reigning ACC player of the week, suffered a lower-body injury over the weekend and will be out for a minimum of eight weeks, the team announced. He will be reevaluated in May.
Why it matters
Canon was off to a hot start this season, leading the Blue Devils in several key offensive categories. His absence will be a significant blow to the team's lineup and production as they look to compete in the ACC.
