Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness will host the 2nd Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival at the Rex Theater in Thompson Falls, Montana on Thursday, April 2. The festival will feature a curated collection of short films celebrating the natural world and the people who find adventure, inspiration, and belonging within it.

The Wild & Scenic Film Festival aims to inspire attendees to explore the outdoors and support conservation efforts through powerful storytelling and stunning cinematography. Proceeds from the event will support the organization's work maintaining trails, teaching outdoor education, and protecting wildlife in the Scotchman Peaks region.

The details

The festival will showcase films on themes of connection to place, resilience, and the importance of protecting wild landscapes. Highlights include "Inaccessible," exploring public lands access in Montana's Crazy Mountains; "Mountain Roots," following a young climber reconnecting with her family heritage in the Italian Dolomites; and "Annika - Where She Lands," the story of a Nordic Combined athlete pushing for gender equality in her sport. Attendees can also look forward to raffle prizes and a catered reception for Super Star Supporter ticket holders.
