Patty was born on April 9, 1948, in Oto, Iowa, and grew up surrounded by strong family values that she carried with her throughout her life. She was a widow at the time of her passing, but at one time was married to Eugene Wyman, with whom she had two children. Patty worked for many years as a bookkeeper at Sidney National Bank, later known as Montana Bank, where she was known for her dedication, reliability, and friendly nature.
