Local Athletes Earn Honors

Sanders County basketball players recognized for standout seasons

Several athletes from Sanders County, Montana high schools were honored for their performances in the recently completed winter sports season. Players from Hot Springs, Noxon, Thompson Falls, and Plains earned all-state and all-conference selections in basketball.

In District 14C, Hot Springs senior Kara Christensen earned all-state honors in basketball, while her teammates Kora Hensrude and Eleanor Massey were named to the all-conference list. In District 7B, Thompson Falls senior Gabi Hannum earned all-state honors along with teammate Addy Deal, and Solveig Nygaard was named all-conference. For the Plains Horsemen, Cooper Meredith and Ben Aldridge were named on the all-conference list, while Ava Lawyer and Hadyn Rice earned all-conference status.
