The Northern Montana Health Care (NMHC) team recently celebrated a significant milestone in surgical care, recognizing 300 successful surgeries using the ROSA® Robot and 100 surgeries performed with the da Vinci® Surgical System. The hospital held a 'robot party' themed event to honor the expertise and collaboration of its surgeons and operating room staff who have made advanced robotic-assisted surgery accessible to patients across the Hi-Line region.
Why it matters
Robotic-assisted surgery allows for more precise, flexible, and controlled procedures, often leading to smaller incisions, shorter hospital stays, and faster recovery times for patients. NMHC's investment in this advanced technology and dedication of its surgical teams demonstrates the hospital's commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care close to home for the Havre community and surrounding areas.
The details
On Tuesday, January 20, NMHC staff gathered to celebrate the surgical milestones, complete with a lighthearted 'robot party' theme featuring colorful decorations. The event included walking tacos, cupcakes, and a chance for the teams to relax and celebrate their accomplishments together. NMHC currently offers robotic-assisted procedures performed by five surgeons: Dr. Paige Brainard, Dr. M. Benjamin Farr, Dr. Toby Marshall, Dr. Sara Wilcox, and Dr. Damian Ymzon.
