What they’re saying
“We worked a little bit the past couple of days and talked about the mistakes we had made on Tuesday — coming out a little bit sloppy, coming out a little bit slow, not marking up as tightly. We hit the home the basics and these are the things we are expected to do, and they came out there and did it. As soon as they started seeing it, then they got the confidence back in them to make sure that we played well today.”

“It feels really good and, as cheeky as this sounds, I love it because I want to prove everybody wrong. There's a lot of people saying Warren Central is just a fluke, it's just their district or whatever. This should show them that we deserve to be there.”

What’s next
The Lady Vikes will face the winner of the quarterfinal matchup between Gulfport and Northwest Rankin in the Class 6A semifinals on February 19, 2026.
