The Adams County Board of Supervisors has been awarded a $1.5 million grant from the Mississippi Department of Transportation to help fund the construction of a new commercial air terminal at the Natchez-Adams County Airport. The terminal will house SkyWest Airlines, an affiliate of United Airlines, which will begin offering daily service to and from Houston Intercontinental Airport starting on July 1.

The grant is part of MDOT's 2026 Strategic Multi-Modal Awards, which provided a total of $20.1 million in funding to 26 airports, railroads, and ports across Mississippi.
