Mississippi State University has announced an expanded multi-year partnership with BankFirst that will place the company's logo on the first and third base lines at Dudy Noble Field, the school's baseball stadium. The NCAA approved legislation for corporate sponsorships on playing fields in 2024, and this marks Mississippi State's first season-long on-field sponsorship deal.
Why it matters
On-field sponsorships have become increasingly common across college athletics as schools seek additional revenue streams. Data shows these sponsorships have significant brand value, with logos being shown over 150 times per game on average. This deal allows Mississippi State to monetize its high-profile baseball venue while providing visibility for BankFirst.
The details
As part of the agreement facilitated by Learfield and Bulldog Sports Properties, BankFirst's logo will be prominently displayed on the first and third base lines at Dudy Noble Field. The bank will also maintain a presence across additional Mississippi State sports, including men's and women's basketball and soccer.
- The new sponsorship branding will debut when Mississippi State hosts its annual Fan Day on Saturday, February 8, 2026.
- Mississippi State will begin the Brian O'Connor era as head baseball coach on February 13, 2026 against Hofstra.
